Types of Presentations

     
  Paper – 15 minutes + 5 minutes Q&A
      
A paper is most effectively presented orally as an address to the audience with reference to notes or text, rather than as a rapid reading of a prepared text. The abstract should include the purpose of the study and a brief overview of the methodology/theoretical framework and findings. Each session should take a maximum of 15 minutes with an additional 5 minutes given for discussion.
    
 Panel Session – 60 minutes

A panel session is most effectively presented orally by three or more presenters as an address to the audience with reference to notes or text, rather than as a rapid reading of a prepared text. The abstract should include a summarized version of the overall session to be discussed by the panel together with abstracts of individual presentations. The panel is required to appoint a chair for the session who may be a member of the panel. Each session should take a maximum of 60 minutes.

Video Presentation – 15 minutes

Presenters are required to submit a 15 minute video recording of their paper presentations on a CD/DVD (.mpeg format). The abstract should include the purpose of the study and a brief overview of the methodology/theoretical framework and findings.

    Poster Presentation

Posters should be no more than 29.7cm x 42cm (A3 size). Each presenter is entitled to a maximum of two posters. Poster presenters must be present to explain and discuss their posters at the time allocated in the programme. The abstract should include a brief description of the central idea underlying the poster. Presenters are responsible for mounting and removing their posters.
